Can You be TOO Feminine?

By Mary Gardner I have a client, Ill call Julie. Shes a beautiful and fit woman that Im working with on the phone. Shes polite and sweet and extremely smart. I enjoy her immensely and shes working with me to get better social skills and so she can work better with men. I guess Im pretty good at this. I grew up with a mom who had 8 brothers. My dad had 7 brothers and I have 2 brothers of my own. I have a sister too but when I was younger I was the girl in the neighborhood who would compete with the boys while playing kickball or pickle in the front yard. I liked to win. My sister was more into crafts and sewing. I picked those up later, but was never as talented as my sister in domestic things. I was the one who had to learn how to be feminine. I was always one of the boys until college when I realized that I wasnt being treated special by the guys at all. They were rough and tough around me and didnt hesitate to talk down to me either. I remember once in college I felt Id had enough. I was a freshman and hanging out with the football players. They all liked hanging with me but when it came time to ask the girls out for a party, I was the one stuck at home. I decided to change that in the blink of an eye. I disappeared. I no longer went to the cafeteria to just hang out every night. I ate at another location and basically didnt reappear for another month. When I finally decided to make an appearance.. I was a bit coy about where Id been. I had lost a few lbs but didnt show up in sweats any more and didnt laugh quite as loud as before. Guess what happened? They all asked me out!!! I finally realized that to be treated like a QUEEN, you have to BE A QUEEN!!! It was a lesson I never forgot and its allowed me to be treated well in business and my personal life my whole adulthood. I demand to be treated well. I leave if Im not. So, MY lesson was how NOT to be ONE of the boys!!! The lesson my CLIENT is learning is to BE one of the guys! First of all, what are the advantages of being a woman in business who can yuck it up with the guys? Well, there are times where shes going to be their boss. Shes going to be the one bearing bad news, or the one praising them, or the one selling to them. If she feels comfortable and can be their friend, then there wont be the uncomfortable tension that sometimes happens between men and women in business. Many women who didnt have the advantage of growing up with brothers or being an athlete view men as a mystery. They havent figured out how to talk with them (to the point and share INFORMATION, not STORIES ) and they havent learned how to be treated well by them. (confront them for bad behavior or dump them!) But how can a woman, who is used to being so feminine get to the point where she is comfortable with the men? I read a passage from a great book to my client today. Its from Women who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Within every woman there is a wild and natural creature, a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing. Her name is Wild Woman, but she is an endangered species. Though the gifts of wildish nature come to us at birth, societys attempt to civilize us into rigid roles has plundered this treasure, and muffled the deep, life-giving messages of our own souls. Without Wild Woman, we become over-domesticated, fearful, uncreative, trapped. YES!! This is what she needed to hear. I actually told her she could try being more MASCULINE. I challenged her to go to a few rodeos, whoop it up with some cowboys who ride bulls, go to a few sports games and sit with the rowdy folks, wear jeans, drink beer, go camping, get her hands dirty, take pottery lessons, and do some loud belly laughing! She was amazed! No one had EVER told her that she could try being more MASCULINE in order to get along better with men. I assured her that there would be NO way that shed turn into a man eating monster but that shed just get the feel for what its like to be more comfortable with that wild part of her nature that she wanted to nurture. She loved it. I did too. Its something Id never really coached on but it was definitely a lesson that Id like to give to women who are too stuffy, too conservative, too suppressed, too domesticated or TOO FEMININE. Being feminine lady is a wonderful thing. but abandoning your masculine side will make you slightly uncomfortable and fearful in the presence of others. While men will appreciate your sophistication at a dinner party, they may avoid you while cutting lose. Weve all heard how much business is done on the golf course. Thats because people do business when they feel comfortable with others. So ask yourself.. are you comfortable with others in every situation? If not, then push yourself to be in situations that potentially make you uncomfortable. When you can be comfortable with being uncomfortable, you are on your way to making others comfortable too. And that is the BEST trait of a sophisticated lady! Mary Gardner, The Charisma Coach! is an Executive Communications Consultant and Trainer. How to Find the Right Lawyer for Your Small Business

By John Lee As a small business owner, it’s quite possible that you run into conflicts that might lead to lawsuits and you might need to find a lawyer to help you solve the problems. Finding the “right lawyer” could be very challenging or even intimidating, especially for people who has never working with an attorney before. However, by taking the right approach you might find the right lawyer who can best help you. Just like shopping for other products or services, the first step is to shop around. There are a number of resources where you can use to find a lawyer. First of all, you can look for recommendations from your business contacts, friends or family. If anybody you know was previously involved in a similar case, be sure to ask that person about the his/her experience and that person might even recommend a good lawyer to you. Your local bar association is another good resource for finding the right lawyer. Check your phone book or do a web search to find the contact information of your local bar association. They might maintain a lawyer referral lists searchable by specialty. Not only can your local bar association refer specialized attorneys, they can also provide you with information such as whether there is any ethical complaint or inquiry associated with a attorney. You can also get help from lawyer referral services. You can find a list of lawyer referral services in your yellow book under “Lawyers”, “Attorneys” or “Attorney Referral Services”, or you can search them on the Internet. These services usually charge you a fee but some services might allow you talk to a lawyer without any charge. In addition, you might come across advertisements from attorneys or law firms. Just like dealing with other type of advertisements, you should be careful and don’t trust the advertisement too much. Beside the resources mentioned above, there are a number of other options to find a lawyer, such as looking at the phone book or doing web search, etc. Don’t settle down with the first lawyer that you come across. Make sure to interview a few attorneys before you make your final decision. John Lee is a freelance writer who has written articles for websites such as Attorney Help (http://attorney.eguidepro.com). Matching Your Fishing Gear To The Type Of Fish You’re Fishing For

By Trevor Kugler One of the biggest mistakes that I see on rivers and streams throughout the country is people fishing on a nice trout stream with fishing equipment that would enable them to fight and land a 25 pound striped bass! This is often overlooked as a reason people are unsuccessful, but it shouldn’t be. You’re fishing equipment, meaning your rod, reel, line size, hook size, etc. It’s all of critical importance to the outcome of your next fishing excursion. Let’s begin with an example: If you’re fishing for trout out of your local trout stream, you know that the likelihood of you hooking into a 5 pound rainbow trout is very slim. Therefore line any larger than 6 pound test is overkill. Six pound test means that the line will stand up to at least six pounds of pressure before breaking. Also consider that the bend of the rod helps take pressure off of the line as well. So six pound test is more than strong enough for your local trout stream. I just don’t know if I can take seeing another “bird’s nest” of old line on my local trout stream that is obviously 10 pound test! For this example a rod bigger than light action is overkill as well. A decent light action rod should do the trick. The lighter action the rod and line, the more bites you will be able to detect as well. I personally use a five foot ultra light rod, spooled with four pound test for almost all of my trout fishing, but some people do think I’m a few bricks short of a load. Oh well, it’s always worked for me. What about hook size for the above example? I’ve been out on the local trout stream and seen anglers (although I use the term loosely) trying to thread a night crawler onto a size 4 hook! You know what this creates don’t you? This creates the ever popular “worm ball”! I could go the rest of my days without ever seeing another “worm ball”. I personally use a size 10 hook. Well actually two size 10 hooks tied in tandem. It creates the most natural presentation possible, and elevates the dreaded “worm ball”. And let me tell you something; I’ve caught some very large fish on size 10 hooks! Much larger than you might think is possible. So match your hook size to what you’re fishing for as well. Now you might be saying, “This is all fine and dandy on my local trout stream, but….” I know what you’re thinking. What if you’re after a bit larger quarry? Let’s use another example. How about trolling for Pike in Northern Ontario? A five foot ultra light rod, spooled with four pound test, isn’t going to enable you to land much more than your bait for these bad boys. But remember, the same principles apply. In this scenario the likelihood of hooking into a Northern Pike any larger than 25 pounds is very slim. Therefore, as with the other example, 20 pound test should be more than enough. If you’re squeamish, go with 25 pound test, but that should do it. Remember, the larger in diameter the fishing line, the easier it is for the fish to see. So in this example, I would say to use a medium to medium/heavy action rod with an appropriate reel attached. Then spool said reel with 18-20 pound test line. I personally always tend to go as light as possible. I guess it’s just in my blood. I just don’t need to see any more yea-hoo’s out there trolling for Pike with a surf casting setup. The bottom line is this: Match your rod, reel, line, hell all you’re fishing gear to the size and type of fish that you’re fishing for and we’ll all be better off. Not to mention the fact that you’ll catch more fish and probably have more fun. How To Use Aggressive Marketing For Higher Profits

By Dave Origano A few weeks ago I have discovered a whole new breed of marketing mindsets and superior techniques. The power that this form of marketing has is amazing. People can go from zero to hero in just a few days. Thousands of dollars, pure profits, arent rare when you start using this new marketing technique. Before I explain to you how this works, let me tell you a background story Do you have friends or parents who dont believe in making money on the internet? Most likely you have, because every internet marketer stumbles on resistance. The block they form for you is about to be transformed into a new motivating source of energy. A lot of people tend to give up on internet marketing, when they have to keep telling their friends and parents that they didnt succeed yet. Some of you will be laughed at, others will have their spouse or parents yelling at them to get a real job. Those people from a mental block for you because youre getting tired of them. But its negative force can easily be utilized as a positive force to begin experiencing success as an internet marketer. It can give the final push in the back that you needed so hard. A wonderful key to profits is laying there all the time. Why dont you use it? Through all the negativity they send to you, you can really succeed, and Im about to tell you how. Weve now identified the problem, the one bump in the road that stops you from earning an income on the internet. And to transform the problem into a driving force behind everything you do, you have to change your mindset. When you change your mindset, everything changes. Learn how to think like a successful person. Always keep those irritating parents or friends in mind, and work to prove them the opposite. You have the ability to prove them once and for all that youre better then they think. You are better then they think! It may sound awkward, but its true. Everyone can earn a nice income at the internet, even you! Anyone with a passion or hobby, motivation and free time can start an online business. You just have to put in the energy, only your efforts will bring in money. Now that youve learned that, choose any person in your life who thinks youre nothing, and that you cant earn an income from the internet. Picture that person as vividly as you can, and write down everything she accuses you of. Then comes the final step Put in all your efforts in proving him or her the opposite of what they said to you. Let them know, through your work, that youre not a loser and that you can earn a nice income. Do whatever you can, do it fast and smart. Aggressive marketing is based on this mindset. When youve a goal to work to, people to prove to theyre wrong you got an enormous motivating force in you. That same force will work with you. With it you will write much stronger salescopy, put in more time and effort into promoting your products. Overall, you cant lose when you use aggressive marketing. Its the number one force that got me my first online profits. If you want to learn more about aggressive marketing and other marketing techniques, subscribe to my free newsletter at the link below. How To Build Your Profits Through Endorsements

By Jeffrey Benson An endorsement can be an extremely powerful business booster, particularly when the person doing the endorsing is well known and respected by the people who read or hear what he or she has to say. Your endorser doesnt have to be a famous sportsperson, a film star, or a university president to command respect; someone who is visible in your communitys business life will just do fine! Also the endorsements wording doesnt have to be (in fact shouldnt be) run-of-the-mill. It can say a lot more than Louise runs a fabulous hairdressing and beauty salon, please drop by there and see for yourself. An endorsement can be creative and compelling truly novel. Endorsements can be presented through direct mail, TV, telemarketing or a simple personal letter. We use endorsements from satisfied clients all of the time. In fact it is part of the agreement we establish with a new client from the outset. What we say to our clients is, If you find any of our services or business development products the best value - for - money investment you have ever made in your business, will you endorse them to your clients or customers and business associates. Lets have a an example: When a solicitor friend of one of our daughters wanted to increase the size of her firm I suggested that she approached her accountant - who was also one of her clients and asked him to send a letter of endorsement to his best clients. Her accountant readily agreed to do this. This is what the letter said: Its rare for me to write, much less to write about someone in another field. But Im writing to tell you about my solicitor, Jane Sharpe, and to tell you of some of the great work Jane has done for me. (At this point the accountant mentioned several ways in which Janes advice had saved him time and money. Then came the creative touch) Because I appreciate your loyalty to our accountancy firm over so many years, I was thinking of sending you flowers for your office or a gift box, but I decided that the noblest thing I could do for you is to buy you an hour of Janes time. Ive arranged to do that, and theres no charge or obligation to ever use Jane again. The session will not cost you one penny, and you can use it to talk about any subject you want to discuss, whether its a business or personal issue or whatever. I cant recommend Jane enough. Heres her number. Just tell Jane that youre someone for whom Ive purchased an hour of her time. Thats what you call an endorsement. One that was highly successful with just over two-thirds of those people receiving it actually taking up the offer, and 57% visited Jane not just once, but on several occasions. Janes business increased dramatically, and the accountants business also benefited through a referral percentage. Referrals provided by your customers/clients and suppliers can be another potent profit-builder and one we frequently use to add significant additional profits to our clients bottom line. Keep this in mind too: Competitors can actually help you grow your business and profits. Heres how: Go to a competitor and show them that if theyve lost a customer or client that, for all practicality, its a sunken cost that theyve written off. Tell them that if the customer or client doesnt want to buy from them, they can still make a profit by introducing the customer or client to you. Both sides win. Go to your competitor and say, Let me have a chance to access your inactive clients, not your new, active ones. Or tell them, let me have one of your salespeople to call on your old customers to say, You didnt buy from us, we understand. Weve done something to loose your goodwill, but we want to introduce you to somebody we respect. We think that were superior and superb, but if you dont want to do business with us, let us introduce you to the next best thing. We really respect these people. If you do just that, the law of averages says that youre going to get 30% to 50% of those old clients to buy from you. Pay the referring competitor as much as 100% of the first transaction. Show them that you could write them a cheque for tens of thousands of pounds, which they could use to pay off debt, to run advertisements, to build new clients, to add to their facilities or, to hire additional sales personnel. After they get over the shock of a competitor wanting to do business with them, many will agree to your plan. If they say no and tell you to take a wild leap, dont let that upset you say to them, Id say the same thing if someone came to me with this proposition. But let me make a point: Youve got a lot of lost assets. You spend thousands of pounds to build them. These old customer or clients are not buying from you now and probably they never will again. Every week, every month, every year that you do nothing with them, its a lost asset worth less and less. If you can convert a thousand of those five thousand customers or clients to me and I am willing to pay you 35%, 50%, 75% or, 100% of their first transaction with me I can write you a cheque for 20,000 or 50,000 or 200,000. Herbalism

By Susun Weed Herbalism, the use of plants for health and healing, is as old as humanity, if not older. In hunting/gathering societies, women are naturally the herbalists. This connection between women and herbs continues today. At the turn of the Century, herbalism in America is undergoing a renaissance. Throughout most of the rest of the world, especially in countries where women’s wisdom has traditionally been honored, herbalism remains, as ever, the treatment of choice for many acute and most chronic health problems. Herbal medicine is a complex and daunting study; yet it is the medicine of the people and so simple that children safely apply it. THE WISE WOMAN TRADITION The earliest known herbalism is the Wise Woman Way: the way of our foremothers out of Africa, our ancient female ancestors. Herbalism is still used and respected in many places, especially the Orient, the mid-East, and India. Wise women view herbs as spiritual allies and intrinsically important foodstuffs as well as medicines. Psychoactive plants are both teachers and healers, and are used, under the guidance of the herbalist/shaman, by all members of the community. Compassion, connection, community, and honor for the Earth characterize Wise Woman herbalism. The nourishing herbal infusions, mineral-rich vinegars, and edible herbs favored by wise women are generally considered safe, even in quantity, for all women, including those pregnant and lactating. Favorite herbs include nourishing tonics such as nettle, red clover, oatstraw, comfrey leaf, linden, dandelion, seaweed, and burdock. THE HEROIC TRADITION In Europe, and then in the Americas, the Inquisition targeted Wise Woman herbalists/midwives and (often through torture and murder) replaced them with male Heroes, who used herbs to drive out the devils of illness from the hated body. Herbs that caused catharsis and purging were elevated, as was blood-letting. The Heroic tradition, despising all things female, licensed only men as healers. Anyone who practiced without a license (women) was persecuted. Some escaped to the Americas, learned Native American herbal medicine, and served their communities - only to be vilified and replaced by school-trained male physicians from England several generations later. The Heroic tradition is still popular in Europe and in Latin and Black communities throughout the Americas. Domination, mentation, isolation, and distrust of the Earth (who is female and therefore considered sinful and dirty) characterize Heroic medicine. Favorite herbs include powerful stimulants and sedatives such as cayenne, lobelia, valerian, ephedra, golden seal, cascara sagrada, turkey rhubarb, and aloes. Most Heroic herbs are dangerous to women, especially if pregnant or lactating. THE SCIENTIFIC TRADITION Where the practice of medicine becomes dominated by linear, either/or thinking, the Scientific tradition replaces the Heroic. Women and their connection to herbs are again vilified, as quacks, rather than as witches. The quest for powerful drugs brings plants to the laboratory, where active ingredients are extracted, concentrated, isolated, standardized, sanitized, and ultimately synthesized. Plants are raw materials, crude, inexact, and unpredictable. Approximately 85 percent of the hundreds of thousands of drugs currently used are directly or indirectly derived from plants; eg foxglove (digitalis compounds), Pacific yew (cancer drug), wild yam (cortisone, birth control pills), and chinchona (quinine). Drugs and drug-like herbs cause severe side effects and should not be self-administered by pregnant and lactating women. EXPLORING HERBAL MEDICINE: RESOURCES Achterberg, Jeanne. Write Your Own Gardening Book

By Cathy Cripps The answer? Not hard really when you come to think about it. And its not buying out the whole bookshop. Not even finding some willing victim to crawl through countless web pages for you, although that does sound like an excellent idea. The easiest way is write your own gardening book! I know, that sort of defeats the purpose of your trying to find the information you need for yourself. But just think of all those lost souls, wandering out there in a daze searching with mounting despair through the same maze of information that you yourself searched through only days before. You probably think that youre unable to write, but hey, if you can string two sentences together in a manner pleasing to read, and you can capture the attention of your audience, then youve got it made! What’s that you say, you don’t know enough to write a gardening book? I dont believe you! If youre an honest-to-goodness gardening enthusiast, then likely as not, youve been gardening for most of your life. Don’t you must remember digging up your families nice neat flower beds to see exactly how it worked! Don’t you think that gives you the requisite experience necessary to write more than one gardening book. So how then? Well, now its all a matter of finding someone to look after you and remind you to eat regularly while you expand on the world at large, or in your case, your word processor, your ideas on gardening. Hopefully you wont need to be reminded to water your garden, because conscientious gardener that you are, thatll be the last thing that you forget. It definately wouldnt look too good to let your garden fade away while youre writing a gardening book! And afterwards what do you do? Well, you could always start on a sequel, because really you didnt do justice to all that could be mentioned in a gardening book. Or, you could just sit back in your easy chair, a mimosa in your hand, the drink, not the flower, and reap the benefits of your very own gardening book. As for that little nugget of information that you were so desperately searching for in the beginning? Well it turns out that you really knew more than you thought you did, and it too, is now in your gardening book. Ron is an avid gardener and loves to share his ideas and information and what better way than by writting a gardening book Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Cathy_Cripps http://EzineArticles.com/?Write-Your-Own-Gardening-Book&id=314171 generic viagra without a prescription buy viagra free viagra online viagra money order

It’s All About Balance - This Student Knows It!

By Maria Pascucci For this week’s “It’s All About Balance” student spotlight, Campus Calm had the opportunity to chat with Margaret Zupa, an 18-year-old senior who attends Nardin Academy in Buffalo, New York. At first glance, it would seem that Margaret is your textbook high achiever: straight A’s, a slew of extra curricular activities and a part-time writing gig on the side. Margaret is captain of her school’s crew team, co-president of the service club, a member of the National Honor Society and a Buffalo News NeXt (teen) correspondent. But despite juggling a ton of responsibilities, Margaret understands that she needs to maintain a healthy amount of balance to lead a truly happy and successful life. Unfortunately, many students never come to this realization until much later in life, if ever. If you’re looking for tips on how to balance school with fun and to find positive ways to develop a strong sense of self in the process, this is a teen you’ll most certainly want to meet! Campus Calm: Given your full schedule, how do you make time for fun on a regular basis? Do you believe that your ability to balance fun and work today will help to make you more happy and successful tomorrow? Why or why not? Margaret: I make time for fun by getting assignments and other things done early, when I have time to do them, instead of waiting until the last weekend before they are due and panicking about it. If I get things done a while before the deadline, then I have time to relax while everyone else is cramming. I definitely believe that this balance will help me in the future, because I can certainly look back on high school and have great memories of all the fun I had, but also have strong grades to show that I was working hard at the same time. Campus Calm: What do you do to unwind after a stressful day at school? Margaret: After a stressful day at school, I always go to crew practice. Without fail, working out and being with my fantastic teammates and coaches is the best thing to make me realize how trivial all of the little things that worry me are, and how incredibly lucky I am in the first place. Campus Calm: What do you and your friends do for fun? Margaret: My friends and I go out to eat, go see a movie, go to [Buffalo] Sabres games, get coffee, or just hang around with each other for fun. Whatever we do, we end up laughing and enjoying each other so much it rarely matters where we are. Campus Calm: What pastimes bring you a sense of calm? Margaret: Rowing is absolutely the one thing in the world that gives me a sense of absolute peace. Especially early in the morning, when my teammates are the first people I see and a boat is the first thing I touch, and the sun hasn’t even brightened the water yet — being on the water is the most calming thing I have ever experienced. Moving through the glassy water with one motion with seven of my best friends as the sun turns the sky pink and purple is the most gratifying and serene thing in the world. Campus Calm: What are you most proud of in life? Margaret: I am most proud of my friends and family. From my teammates, all of whom are incredible people who do everything I do and more, to other friends who have come through extremely difficult things in their lives with a positive attitude, to my family who provide the best example for me I could ever ask for; the people who surround me are what makes me who I am and what I am most proud of. Campus Calm: What are you grateful for? Margaret: I am also most grateful for my friends and family, for without their constant positive influence, unconditional love, and unending support I could never in a million years do what I have done in the past 18. Campus Calm: What do you think makes for a beautiful person? Do you think you’re beautiful? Why or why not? Margaret: I think a beautiful person is someone who sees the beauty in others before the ugliness. I certainly try to be such a person, because life is always better when you see the good before the bad and appreciate all of the talents and positive traits of other people before noticing their shortcomings. Campus Calm: Please finish this sentence: I believe an education enables me to do ________. Margaret: I believe an education enables me to-effect positive change in the world. Campus Calm: Please finish this sentence: I believe grades measure ________. However, no letter grade could possibly measure ________. Margaret: I believe grades measure-book knowledge. However, no letter grade could possibly measure-character and resilience, which I believe are key to success in any career and in life. Campus Calm: What is your personal definition of a happy and successful life? Margaret: For me, a happy and successful life is one that is rewarding to the person living it. It they wake up every day thinking that today is going to be a great day, because they are going to help someone or truly enjoy what they are doing, then they are happy and successful. People who hate their jobs, no matter how much money they make or what kind or car they drive, cannot live a happy life if they do not feel that their life is rewarding and gratifying, whether it be because of their great family, their job, or their hobbies. People have to find some sense of purpose and goal in life, the thing that makes it worth getting up every day and the thing that allows them to sleep at night feeling fulfilled. No matter what this thing is, I believe that feeling like one is contributing and making a difference, no matter how large or small, is the key to a happy and successful life. Interpreting the Bagua - A Beginner’s Guide to Feng Shui

By Marie Schoonover People new to Feng Shui, especially those interested in becoming a practitioner, are sometimes surprised and confused by the bagua concept. They expect something a little more complex and involved. But, as it turns out, the magic is in the simplicity. You can understand the bagua better if you look at it through the eyes of a child rather than a learned scholar. A child has an attitude of hope and enthusiasm, uncluttered with the confusion or the irrelevance we acquire as adults. Choose to accept the Bagua as simplistic universal truth and its secrets will be revealed to you. I have found it helpful sometimes to think of the bagua as a well thought out and ordered filing cabinet. The nine folders in this file contain all the possible life events you may experience. What could we find simpler on the surface and yet potentially so complex underneath. If we try to unravel its mysteries intellectually we will fail. The universe is far too miraculous for the human mind to comprehend. On the surface these nine squares appear pretty straightforward, but look at the bagua closely, study it, try to dispute it, try to add or subtract from it, try to think of a life experience that does not fit into one of the squares, or try to take away one of the squares as unessential. It cant be done. But as simple as it looks, who can juggle nine balls without help? Feng Shui through the bagua provides that help. But it wont make sense to your intellect; it must simply be accepted on faith for it to begin to work. Feng Shui works on your behalf and translates your intentions into the thinking stuff that the universe can work with. “But how in the heck can the color of a chair be responsible for me getting that new job or not?” The chair and the color are only symbols of the underlying forces at work. Feng Shui and the symbols you use are the guardians of your intentions and have been put in place to remind the universe where you want to go and request it to help find the best way to arrive. The underlying power is unfathomable and must simply be accepted. There in lies the wonder of Feng Shui and of the bagua. It takes the complexities of life and simplifies them into a nine square picture, and thereby gives you a tool to connect to universal truths that will bring order and harmony to your life. So, what about the bagua, how can something so simple be so powerful. The bagua concept is used to connect us to power we cannot understand as human beings. It connects us to a higher power that knows our best interests and how to achieve them. Our existence is far too complex for us to manage by our own resources. The harder we try to control our lives the more frustrated and folded up we get. We need help. We need to be in harmony with our environment to gain control. The Universe, in its broadest definition, is extremely dynamic and changing, yet balanced and controlled, it is deliberate and patient. We on the other hand tend to be indulgent and impatient. We want to live our lives in a day and we want everything immediately. The universe does not work that way. It does not run on our human timetable. The bagua reminds us of our environment and the balance it requires. Balance and patient is what Feng Shui teaches us, and the bagua is the tool or road map to find the happiness that we seek. So lets look at this wonderment of wisdom and simplicity. As I mentioned above try to think of a life experience that does not fit in one of the nine squares. You can not. Its all there. Nine areas of human existence in a certain order related one to the other and each one balanced. Look at the bagua and see the relationships that exist. See how each area is dependent on the others and none is more important than the next. How many examples of unhappy people can you think of and now realize its due to imbalance. See the people with lots of money who are so unbalanced in relationships and love. Did I say Hollywood? See how many people are imbalanced with their career and their family life is in shambles. How many people have you seen that have all the Fame and Reputation that the world has to offer only to abuse their health to a point of dying years ahead of their time. Are you getting the message? Balance and moderation will bring you in harmony and allow you to achieve the happiness you desire. Balance and moderation is what optimizes your life and brings you all the abundance that is really available and waiting for you to claim. Once your grasp this basic concept of Feng Shui you are ready to move on and see all the power packed wisdom this little nine square bagua map really contains. Legal Interview Questions

By Carl Mueller Id describe legal interview questions as ones that might appear a bit iffy but are actually acceptable depending on the specific job or industry you are interviewing for and depending on where you live and employment laws that apply. Some of the legal interview questions you can be asked might be ones weve already discussed on this site. Some questions might simply be part of the interview process to help the employer gauge your suitability for the position and your suitability to join the company and will enquire about your: Work experience and how it relates to the job Education and/or relevant certifications or training Ability and propensity to travel Ability to work overtime, shift work and/or weekends Ability to legally work in the country Criminal record (if any). Again, local laws might dictate what constitutes legal interview questions and which questions are off limits. Some of these questions might be necessary depending on your industry and level of position. If you are interviewing for a job in a different country, you will need to gain the legal ability to work in that country first so this is obviously a concern for a potential employer if gaining this status might take you months or years. If you were interviewing for a position that involved security clearance, any criminal record would obviously be an important consideration for the hiring company. These are just two legal interview questions that might be crucial to you getting a particular job or joining a particular company. Before you attend an interview, try to have a clear idea of possible legal interview questions that you might be asked given the job you are applying for, and given the industry you work in.
