What About A Natural Cure For Asthma?

By Jen C Have you been off work because of your asthma? Does it get worse at certain times of year or under stress? Are you worried that its beginning to affect your job and limit your lifestyle? Just one year ago, I found myself in a similar position. Here I was at home (again!) with a bad bout of asthma and concerned for the security of my job as this was my eighth day off with asthma that year. That found me searching the internet for a natural cure for asthma, researching the causes of asthma, how they relate to allergies (which I had as a child) and looking to see what medications and treatments were available. Fed up with taking increasing doses of blue and brown inhalers, that seemed to leave me dependent on medication I read around to see if anyone had found a successful method of controlling their asthma without medication. If youve had asthma, youll probably relate to the awful feeling when yet another attack comes on and your life is thrown into disarray. You may find that the doctors dont have time to discuss alternative treatments, but simply prescribe the usual inhalers at each visit, check your breathing and lung capacity and sign you off until the next visit. What I found was both interesting and disturbing. The evidence was that much of our asthma today is induced by our modern world. The most concerning thing was that there is no incentive for the drug companies or the doctors to find a natural cure, as theyre all making a considerable profit from the conventional inhalers. By searching for natural asthma cure I found stories of people who had found alternative methods of managing their asthma and who had been able to cut down their medications (under the advice of their doctor, of course). These are stories that dont hit the headlines, but for the individuals involved are life changing. I decided to give these new ideas a try I had nothing to lose and everything to gain my job was on the line. The simple regimes involved took less than five minutes per day and within less than a week I could feel the benefits. Ive managed to cut down but not cut out my asthma medication and feel far fitter and healthier. The best news of all, I can take a long walk with my son without having to take the inhaler with me. If youre considering an alternative treatment for your asthma, do some research on the internet, check with your doctor or medical practitioner, and be prepared to try more than one idea. Do make sure that you keep your inhaler with you at all times during this trial period. Do try it for more than a day or two, your body may take time to adjust. What works for one person may not work for you, were all different. How to Write a Personal Ad

By Jan Verhoeff Curiosity bites! But, so does cupid. So, how does one write a personal ad that attracts the right kind of attention? Dating can be such a frenzied activity, with so little time to actually meet the right person. But, here I sit, in front of the most common communication tool of our time, so how do I write an Ad that will attract the kind of person I want to date? SWF, 4 children, 46, looking for SWM with good attitude just didnt appeal to me. So, I did some research and wrote a great ad, getting lots of knocks and winks. So I thought Id share my process. 1. Before you start spouting out what you want, you need to look at what you really do want. Personally, I have a list and Ill share a few items on that list. Someone who will laugh with me, enjoys a good meal and might even help cook it, and can participate in quality conversation will work for starters. Know what you want, so you can aim for your goal. 2. Start out with some specifics and open up to more general ideas. You may know what you want, but theres only one Brad Pit, and hes not looking for someone 46 years old with 4 children. So, leave some options open and you might be surprised at who signs on as Mr. Right. Heck, Brad Pit may be available next week? 3. Write as if you already know who will be reading your Ad. You know, like its going to be your best friend, because thats the result you want from the Ad. You want a new best friend, one who will knock you off your feet (well, not literally), make you swoon with desire, and pick up his own socks. Write your Ad in a conversational tone, and talk like you would be talking to your new best friend. Maybe hell think he already knows you on the first call. 4. Dont tell them what you look like, provide a great photo of yourself. Dont tell them what kind of personality you have, show them with your conversational manner and charming style. Be yourself, and charm your way into their hearts. Be naturally yourself and share the thoughts youd want someone to know. Make your personality shine through by using active energized verbs and descriptions. Share the essence of who you are. 5. Your Ad can be as long or as short as you wish (or as the site allows) but you may want to start out with a shorter ad that you can add to as you recognize characteristics you might want to share. Its difficult to take away from an ad, but putting more in is almost always an option. Write your ad on word pad, and check your spelling and grammar. Nothing says YUK like misspelled words and bad grammar. 6. Be honest by dont dump all your issues in the ad. Nobody really cares if you have thunder thighs, one blue eye and one brown one, or just got over the plague (as long as you arent still a carrier). Be honest and share your best qualities, keep the bad qualities to yourself at this point, unless you have pointy ears and sprang from a Vulcan (which might get you more dates). 7. Dont give it all away in the ad, you want something to chatter about on your first dates besides the weather and the cost of gas. However, you might want to consider the cost of gas in where you search for your date. Consideration for the other persons wallet is a nicety that wont be forgotten. If distance may be an issue, be honest about where you live. If you are looking for Mr. or Mrs. Right you may just find them. If youre looking for a friend, thats entirely possible too. Get out there and live your life well and love will find you. Jan Verhoeff enjoys life with her family in Colorado. Her writing skills provide ample opportunity to travel and meet people. Change Two Habits and Get Slimmer without Dieting

By Sheri Zampelli There are two mental and emotional habits that will keep you struggling for years to come. These habits are: overreacting, and believing without thinking. I know you probably expected the two habits to be about food or exercise but the truth is, in order to acquire healthy food and exercise habits you must first establish mental habits that insure long-term success. Many people are stuck in a vicious cycle of all-or-nothing thinking when it comes to food and exercise. Healthy habits are not an enjoyable, integrated aspect of life. Instead, being healthy is something you tell yourself you have to do. Because you haven’t learned to enjoy healthy behaviors, you avoid them until there’s nothing else you can do but change. By then you are so mortified by your weight gain that you decide to do something drastic to get rid of it quickly. Many times, the very method you are using to solve your weight problem is actually creating the problem. For example, suppose you gained 3 lbs. over the weekend. Perhaps you fear that you must do something immediately. You are terrified that if you don’t do something, the weight will keep creeping up and up. So you decide to go on a fast until the three pounds are gone. First of all, fasting is a very drastic response to a 3 pound gain and secondly the mere act of fasting causes your metabolism to slow down thereby guaranteeing that you will struggle harder in the future! In this instance, overreacting is actually causing your weight problem. Here’s another example: let’s say you’ve gained 35 lbs. and none of your clothes fit. So you decide to start a serious diet…on Monday. In the meantime, you engage in a feast of ‘no-no’s’ where you consume 2-5x’s more fat and calories than your body can process. When you finally start your diet, you are already at a deficit. Mentally you feel like a failure. Physically, you have more weight to lose now than you did last week. Many people go off their diet within the first few weeks of starting. If this is the case, you are actually guaranteeing future weight loss struggles. You’d probably be better off if you’d decided to do nothing at all. Another habit that will make you fat and sabotage your life is: believing without thinking. Many times in our desperation or fear we believe and act on what we hear from others (especially authority) without question. Here’s an example: buying the good ol’ ‘Finish everything on your plate, there are children starving in Africa” line. People from age 8 to 80 have heard this line so many times that they blindly believe, accept and act on it without question. It’s true, children are starving in Africa. However, finishing everything on your plate only makes you the processing plant for excess food that is guaranteed to make you fat. Instead of putting leftovers in the trash or in the refrigerator, you put them in your body and your body has no choice but to turn excess food into fat. Meanwhile, the children in Africa are completely unaffected. They are still starving. Continuing to habitually finish everything on your plate is an example of how you literally create your weight problem. So if you’re ready to take the leap and stop the struggle now, here’s a few things you can do: * Chew each bite at least 10 times. Put your food or utensil down between bites. * Remember, your stomach is the size of your fist. * Stop when you feel satisfied or have eaten a fist-size portion. * Always leave something on your plate to de-program yourself from automatic eating. * When satisfied, stop eating. If you’re at a restaurant, push your plate to the edge of the table so the waiter will take it. If you’re at home, get up immediately and throw the food in the trash or put it in storage for another meal. * Acknowledge your strength and self-control. * Tell yourself, “I can do this.” In closing, you have the power to challenge your thoughts and take note of any beliefs that don’t work for you. The great thing about doing this type of self-inventory is that when you realize how you are creating your results, you can take different actions and get different results. Once you access and utilize your ability to make positive changes you will feel more powerful, less insecure and better able to accomplish your goals and dreams. Does Anger Trigger Abuse?

By Glenda Erceg Anger and abuse often go together. There are many reasons for this and first of all we need to understand a little about anger and where it comes from. Anger in adults often begins when we face injustice. Outrage often follows and this can lead us to take appropriate action. Outrage is a positive thing when it helps us take steps to stop violence and other injustices. Outrage involves integrity and caring plus a sense of responsibility. This type of anger does not lead to abuse so in this instance anger and abuse do not go together. When anger comes from a sense of being wronged, abandoned, rejected or controlled it can easily and often does lead to abuse. In these situations we fear being humiliated, disrespected or embarrassed. These are the times when anger may lead to abuse. At times like these we want to fight back, attack or blame others. We are often not willing to take responsibility for our own actions and want someone else to pay for the way we feel. Anger and abuse create unhealthy and unsafe relationships. Anger and abuse do not just affect a few people. When anger and abuse are used together entire families are affected. Children especially are vulnerable to anger and abuse. The consequences for anger and abuse are many and none of them are good. If you are in a situation where anger and abuse have become a pattern you need to seek help. There are groups for anger management and there are also groups for people who are living with people who have anger control or abuse issues. Anger and abuse can become deadly problems if they are not addressed and taken care of. Do not put yourself or others at risk. Source: www.innerbonding.com Copyright Glenda Erceg. Aussie Low Doc – High Value Mortgage

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Maya_Pavlovski]Maya Pavlovski Low Doc Loans In recent years, one of the fastest growing segments of the Australian mortgage market has been the low doc’ home loans. These are loans for which borrowers are able to self-certify their income during the application process. Full financial documentation such as payslips or tax returns do not need to be provided by the borrower. Low doc home loans were introduced primarily for the self-employed or those with irregular income whose finances may not be up-to-date at the time of the loan application The value of low-doc loan approvals in Australia has grown over the past year, even though these loans are estimated to only represent around 5% of the loan market. Initially, low-doc loans were marketed only by specialist non-bank lenders, but in recent years mainstream lenders and even some of the major banks have also entered the market. While some of the non-bank lenders are prepared to offer low-doc loans to borrowers with impaired credit histories or other non-conforming characteristics, mainstream lenders still expect the client to have a clean credit history and a sizable deposit. The good news is that the deposit required with a Low Doc loan can now be as low as 5% and the interest rate which was previously loaded for the extra risk is these days not much different to the standard variable rate. Lenders have also increased the maximum size of low-doc loans that they are willing to provide. When low-doc home loans were first introduced, the maximum allowable loan size was generally around $500 000 but these limits have since been increased, contributing to an increase in average actual loan sizes. Recent estimates based on securitised loans suggest that new low-doc loans are on average around 30 per cent larger than conventional loans. Analysts estimate the low-doc loan market in Australia is growing at more than 15 per cent a year compared to 12 per cent for traditional home loans. In recent times, the Tax Office has expressed concerns at the growing numbers of persons applying for loans which allow them to declare an income beyond that declared in their tax returns. The Tax Office is threatening to target users of the low doc loan products in their future tax audits. To facilitate this the Tax Office is considering forcing lenders to provide confidential customer information enabling it to match tax returns against mortgage insurance records. Macquarie Research estimates the low-doc lending market is worth up to $50 billion, or 8 to 12 per cent of the mortgage market. According to reports by Australiaa leading home insurers, defaults on low-doc loans are escalating but at this stage do not present a serious concern. A contributing factor has undoubtedly been the recent upward trend for interest rates. No-doc Loans No Doc Home loans are similar to Low Doc Home loans with the only difference being that no information needs to be provided by the borrower on his income or asset levels. The lender is effectively providing the borrower with a mortgage which is solely secured by the property being purchased. These loans are generally provided at a lower LVR than the Low Doc loans and an even higher interest rate they are seen to present a greater risk to the lender than the low-doc loans. Applicants who own businesses, make commissions, live off investments, get their income in cash may not want to give up their privacy and are often prepared to pay for this privilege. No Documentation mortgages were designed for such applicants. Borrowers pay for the flexibility and privacy of these types of mortgages. A clean credit is a must. Lenders also want the No Doc borrowers to make a larger deposit (generally 30% to 40%). Some of the key reasons why an applicant would consider a low-doc/no-doc mortgage include: Self Employed applicants whose financials are not up-to-date; Financially independent people with complex asset and income structures; Retirees who live off investments; People whose lives are in a flux because of divorce, recent death of a spouse, or career change. Both the Low Doc and the No Doc markets are fairly new to Australia. These loan products have made it possible for people who can afford a loan but do not qualify with a traditional lender to borrow. They have also made it possible for people who are asset rich but cash poor to get access to the equity in their property without needing to sell any assets. The No Doc Loans in particular, serve as an excellent wealth generation tool as borrowers are able to use the equity in their existing assets as a deposit in the acquisition of future assets and thus over time grow a property portfolio. Weight Loss Frustration’s? Slippery Slopes – One Fall And Down You May Go!

By Greg Ryan If you have ever been snow skiing you know that one wrong move, one glance away or one split second of lost focus may get you in a heap of trouble. The hard part comes trying to stop the slide down the slope. It doesnt take much and the next thing you know, you have hit the bottom only to look up and find yourself wishing you had it to do over again, this time much different and with more focus and preparation. Have you ever made one slip in your workout program and down you went? Doesnt seem like much at the time, but thats all it takes to get the snowball rolling. You make one little excuse not to exercise, you have one day off the wagon of your eating program and wham! Down you go, slipping and sliding all the way until you bottom out and want to quit. And some of you do quit. All you are looking for is one permission slip, one little fall on a hill and thats it. To hard, not worth the effort why bother any more? Or you may be the type that says, Well one time is not bad, Ill do it tomorrow. Then tomorrow comes and you have some other stupid reason not to exercise. Before you know it, again, youre looking up at that hill thinking, How did I get here? Your best defensive in preventing a fall is to not give yourself a permission slip to fall. As far as you should be concerned there is no permission slips handed out. There are no options, there are no slippery slopes. You have signed up, you have purchased a lift ticket for the rest of your life to exercise and eat right. Yes, there will be days that you will fall short of a goal, but that doesnt mean you give yourself permission to do so. Yes, there are days when you need to take a day off physically and mentally those days are necessary, however, making an excuse is much different. I see it almost daily. People will come up with some reason not to, and some sound really legitimate, then that leads to another and another until they have stopped for good. I encourage you and challenge you to always be on guard. Once you start down that slippery slope of making excuses not to workout that day, may be the beginning of a long hike back up the mountain. Trade Show Display Booths

By Kevin Stith In a trade show booth, besides your sample products, your display may include hanging signs, sales-literature racks, tabletop or floor-standing displays, customized panel walls, pop-ups, and even floor graphics. These products need to be eye-catching and able to deliver a memorable message. When you are selecting the displays for your trade show booth, you must not forget the fact that that there are at least a hundred other advertisers at the same trade show vying for the attention of the consumer, and you have a small window to make an impression on the persons mind. There are many options in trade show displays available in the market today. Some of these characteristics can be considered when shopping for a trade display. An ideal trade display should be set up in seconds. Also, it should have a handle for easy lifting and should be able to fold down for transporting. A smartly made trade show booth can be creative and yet ship economically in a container suitable for FedEx or UPS weight. Most trade show participants will probably not want to go back to the drawing board before every show, so the ideal trade show booth should be durable for show after show. The graphics and text on the display that you select must be able to communicate directly about your products and services. If you are not sure of what to put there, you can always opt for professional help. It is sensible to get the display design in your booth done through professional agencies rather than an in-house team. This may be a bit more expensive, but if you get a re-usable variety, the costs are going to be well justified in the long run. In today’s competitive tradeshow environment, full-size, full-color, custom tradeshow exhibit panels are the best way to ensure your company gets noticed. Many companies today specialize in eye-catching, full-graphics trade show displays, because they know that custom graphics get you noticed and help you succeed.
